Prior to founding The Company Coach, my years of running a wealth management firm enabled me to intimately take part in the lives of my clients. We became family to one another, and as such, experienced the ups and downs of life together and shared in many milestones and celebrations.
One thing that has stood out for me was the amount of frustration that many of my business owner clients had in trying to find resources to help them answer the many questions and concerns that come with business ownership.
As a business owner myself, I could certainly relate. The interesting thing was that regardless of how big or small the businesses were, or what type of market they were in, I noticed we all had similar questions, challenges, concerns and fears.
In an effort to bridge this gap for myself and my clients, in 2006, I began pulling together various resources and discovered that within my network of associates, third-party advisors and peers, I could create an entity, a resource to meet this need for business owners. This is how The Company Coach began: with a genuine care and interest in meeting the needs of my family of business owner clients, focused on enhancing their ongoing success.
What happens most often is that a business owner will come into my office quite stressed. They have so many needs and questions; they don’t even know where to begin. So, in using the great advice shared by Dr. Stephen Covey, we begin with the end in mind, and figure out what they ultimately want to accomplish with their business when all is said and done.
Once we discover where they want to go, we assess where they are, and then create a plan to bridge them from Point A to Point B, utilizing their values and convictions, as well as their personal and corporate goals. But we don’t stop there. We also help them figure out the type of legacy they want to create so that the impact of their life can be experienced by the next generation.
What excites me is seeing you excited about your business again. It is amazing how fast the energy comes back when you know you have a solid plan that provides solutions, focus and clarity, allowing concerns to either fall in line or vanish completely, which then helps to enhance not only your success but also your significance – in business and in life.
